On 10 and 11 May 2010 more than 2500 people will be in Granada to participate in the 2nd Congress on the Modernisation of Public Services (CMSP2010).

Andalusia’s regional government is working hard to provide modern and efficient public services by incorporating continuous improvement into the public Administation and the quality of the services delivered to the citizenship – Tomorrow is now! The 5th Electronic Administration and Public Service Quality Prizes will be also awarded at the Congress.

Modernising our public services is no longer just a challenge; it is now an obligation, and is fundamental to making the economy more dynamic and sustainable as well as achieving greater social cohesion.

Whilst this event is an initiative of the Regional Government of Andalusia, the issues it will be addressing have a global scope; it will be attended by people involved in public administration at the national, regional and local levels, and by universities and private companies which work with the public sector. The event also has an international dimension, which is particularly focused this year on progress in modernising public services in Latin America.

The Congress on the Modernisation of Public Services 2010 will bring together all stakeholders in an ideal environment for the exchange of experiences, the spreading of best practices and the promotion of new projects in the sector. The Congress will feature conferences, roundtable discussions, panels of experts and presentations relating to new service models and increasing participation by and for the citizens; making bureaucratic tasks simpler and more efficient; managing personnel and infrastructure; eGovernment;as well as cooperation between different administrative bodies.
